Elevating Community Voice and Leveraging Cross-Community Data to Guide Early Childhood Efforts
In this session, you will hear from Raquel Hall, Community Builder, Graylyn Swilley Woods, Executive DIrector, and Renae Schmidt, Strategic Research Analyst, from the Overtown Children & Youth Coalition about driving and guiding the work of a cross-community collaboration to improve early childhood wellbeing and impact childcare sector workforce in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The Collective Impact approach and lessons presented included 1) identifying key stakeholders, 2) establishing shared measurement, 3) identifying and collecting data important to cross-community work, and 4) showcasing examples of how data can be leveraged and interpreted to inform initiatives, allocate resources, and drive policy and advocacy work.
